Toate cele patru echipe angrenate in Interliga au pornit deja antrenamentele pe gheata.
In alta ordine de idei,
Cupa Bere Ciuc se va desfasura in acest an in perioada 15-17 august la Miercurea Ciuc, pe patinoarul Vakar Lajos. Vor lua parte cele patru echipe care reprezinta Romania in Interliga: Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc, Hockey Club Csikszereda, Progym Perla Harghitei, Steaua Bucuresti.
Hochei - ROPosted by Rabil Mon, August 04, 2008 15:49:21Vakar Lajos se dovedeste neincapator in aceasta perioada a sezonului.

The upcoming season will be very interesting as we will have the first
common Hungarian – Romanian league ever. The league will consist of the first
four teams in the Romanian championship from the last season together with the
six teams from the Hungarian league. They will play against each other four
times, 36 games in all.
It will be very beneficial for the teams as they will meet harder
competition and all games will be important in the hunt for the semi finals as
there seem to be no really weak teams in the league. I think it will gain the
Romanian icehockey in general both for the National team and the media interest
the league will attract.
If we look at the silly season and the transfers done so far, there have
been a lot at least by the Hargitan teams. From Steaua not much rumours and
transfers just started to come to the public when this is written, maybe because their
participation in the common league was confirmed at late as possible for
participation and there were even talks about closing down the hockeysection
after last season’s debacle by Steaua eyes. I’m sure though they will end up
with some strong transfers when we approach the start of the season. The
importance of this season is best seen in view of the foreigners the clubs have
transferred. It’s only allowed five foreign players and one foreign goalkeeper
per game in the common league, but all the Hargitan clubs have well beyond that
numbers in the rosters at the moment.
Sportclub seems looking at Sweden
as all their new players are Swedes while Progym seems to point towards Ukraine
and HC swept the Romanian soil to grab the cream of the crop at home a short
introduction to the transfers sofar can be. Belov follows a more detailed presentation
club by club.

A lot of transfers done
so far. Top Romanian players like Àrpad Mihaly and Góga combined with a lot of
foreigners mainly from Slovakia and Russia. Well above the availible numbers in
every game. A few more has even been seen in the roster recently in the games played on their
Slovakian tour. My guess is that some of these are on try-out and will leave
the team until the start of the season. Even though Kurko says it´s part of
their plan to have 10 – 12 foreigners in the team to be able to use the ones in
shape. From this, one can see that HC really goes for the title this year.

Progym really stenghten their team from last season. Borsos and
Basilidesz is two experienced players. Together with the Ukrainians and young Mastaleriu
they can be a dark horse this season. The biggest loss of course Góga and
Laczko in the defence. They also got a fight for the goalkeeper spot as haven´t
been the case last seasons as Hricina returns to Romania.

Sportclub goes the Swedish way under their Swedish trainer Lundh. They
wanted some Swedish inputs and now they got it. We´ll see if these guys can
hold on to the gold tradition from the last two seasons. Personally i have my
doubts as HC seems to have a broader roster. But sure they strengthen their
defence that has been the weakest link.
They will go to Sweden
on a trainingcamp in late august and play four games. Hope this can motivate
the old native players for another season that won´t have any easy games played
on one skate.

Steaua lost three important players if Tibor Basilidesz transfer to HC
happen, still he is under contract with Steaua until 2009 so we´ll see. Anyway
their native players are to few and too old in my opinion if they want to be a
serious threat for the title this season. It will be difficult for them to find
4 competitive lines as the number of Romanian players are limited due to many
lost years on the junior side. If they get any injuries i think they will have
problem even to fill up a full team. Hope the new Ukrainian coach can lift the
team and give the juniors some experience on senior level.
If i should try to give a prediction for the season to come even if it´s
early i think HC and Sportclub will fight for the title both in the Interleague
and the Romanian championship while Progym and Steaua have to fight for a place
in the middle in Interleague and 3rd place in the Romanian
championship according to rosters so far.
Hochei - ROPosted by Rabil Fri, July 18, 2008 15:03:55Astazi Steaua si-a confirmat pariticparea in Interliga.

Adunarea Generala a ales si doi vice-presedinti: Mihai Covaliu si Attila Bencze.

Tánczos was elected president of the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation (FRHG). The
General Meeting of the FRHG held today in Bucharest
gave the chance to Tánczos to show something new. He got 12 votes from 13 members present. The other candidate, Alexandru Halauca withdrew before the voting procedure.
Teams like Steaua, Galati, Sportul was missing from the meeting, maybe they were boycotting the elections. The reigning champion, SC had no voting rights but the team announced a day before if they would have the right they would vote Tánczos.
The new president won’t
have easy job. The FRHG has more then 600 000 leis (aprox 166 000 euros) debt
to pay, the Flamaropol rink wich belongs to the FRGH needs reparations etc. The
lack of money will cause lot of new problems.
Tánczos at this moment is state secretary of Ministry of Transport and vice-president of the SCM Brasov Fenestela 68 hockey team. He might resign from the second function.
The General
Meeting also voted new vice-presidents, Mihai Covaliu and Attila Bencze.
